From 18th to 22nd August 2014, University of Rwanda (UR) held its first graduation at Camp Kigali grounds. The ceremony had different graduation dates for all its 6 constituent colleges and was presided over by The Chancellor, Dr. Mike O’Neal who awarded professional courses and conferred Bachelors, Postgraduate and its first PhD. Over 5000 graduated in that week from various courses as per the college.

Other guests present included, Vice Chancellor, Prof. James McWha, Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Prof. Nelson Ijumba, Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance and Administration, Mr. Pudence Rubingisa, Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of University Advancement, Dr Agnes M. Kalibata, Minister of Education Hon. Prof Silas Lwakabamba and All Principals of all Colleges.
