The University of Rwanda in collaboration with French Belgium Universities has a funding from ARES-CCD (Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur), for raising human capacity in the area of life sciences, including areas related to natural sciences, biology, chemistry, agriculture and medicine. For the moment, we are calling for a PhD student at the University of Rwanda to visit any Belgium French university for research purpose, a 2 months visit.
Targeted audience and procedures
The academic staff of University of Rwanda, in the areas of biology, chemistry, agriculture and medicine, and from any college of the UR. Her/his PhD research must be in these areas, and registered in any department of these areas.
The applicants must send their applications detailing the training needed and how it is a complement to their present research activities. Application file will contain the following documents: (i) application letter explaining the motivation and specifying the type of training needed; (ii) recommendation letter from the Director of research of his/her PhD; (iii) CV and Proof of registration in PhD study in UR; and (iv) If you have any contact laboratory in Belgium where you can perform your training, please provide supporting documents or indicate which institution we may contact for you.
You are excluded to this support if you have another source of funding for your PhD study.
The deadline for application is fixed on 5th January 2016 at 18h00.
