This notice serves to inform all staff of the University of Rwanda that I received many request from UR staff undertaking post graduate program offered by University of Rwanda related to the above subject. Therefore, I would like to bring to your attention that the University of Rwanda Senior Management Council held on Wednesday 26th October 2015 at RUBIRIZI Campus discussed and made an amendment to the decisions of its meetings of 29th September 2014 and 15 April 2015 regarding tuition waiver for UR staff undertaking post graduate programs at UR.
It was agreed and clarified that the tuition fees waiver is normally for Academic staff doing in house programs that are offered by UR and are relevant to their disciplines. Non Academic staff would qualify for the waiver upon motivation to Vice Chancellor by line manager that qualification pursued is directly relevant to their work and will enhance their capability to deliver better in their post. Non Academic staff are normally entitled to get professional short courses.
It is in this regard, you are requested to comply with the above resolution.
