On 17thDecember 2014 at Amahoro National Stadium , Jean Bosco Nzeyimana, a student of University of Rwanda-College of Business and Economics(UR-CBE) was announced the winner of 2014 National YouthConnekt Young Innovator organised by Ministry of Youth and ICT(MY ICT) and the National Youth Council.
Jean Bosco Nzeyimana won three million Rwandans Francs after presenting a project about the production of environmentally friendly fuels in form of biogas and biomass briquettes in Nyamagabe District. He is doing this project under his own company, Habona Limited (www.habonaltd.com ).
The main activity he is involved with is to produce organic fertilizer; briquettes and biogas to be upgraded and compressed in small and medium sized canisters which are sold full of gas cheaply. Bio-fertilizers are also packed in 50 kgs sacs to ease distribution.
''I'm very happy for this prize. It shows that my efforts and dream are not taken for granted. My confidence in my project is definitely high and am looking forward to expanding my project,” said Jean Bosco Nzeyimana, a CBE student at Gikondo campus, studying Banking.
YouthConnekt Rwanda is an annual event that brings together more than 2000 youth across the country that consists of a Boot Camp, Exhibition and Convention.
