EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Within four sections, Graduates for Academic Year 2014/2015, Students Registered for Academic Year 2015/2016, Distribution of Staff, and Infrastructure, this report provides the statistical information of the University of Rwanda. The total number of graduates in July 2015 was 8,148. In January 2015 we had 31,760 registered students distributed by College as follows: 6,056 students in the College of Science and Technology (CST), 3,677 students in the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), 6,415 students in the College of Education (CE), 9,717 students in the College of Business and Economics (CBE), 2,301 students in the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), and 3,594 students in the College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM). Most students (67.6%) are male and 32.4% are female. 85.0% of our undergraduate students are financially supported by the Government of Rwanda.

The current number of staff is 2,327 distributed as follows: 1,601 academic staff and 726 administrative and support staff, where 76.0% of academic staff are male and 24.0% are female; administrative and support staff, 58.7% are male and 41.3% are female.
