UR Researchers meet to discuss proper grant writing skills

Researchers at the University of Rwanda were tipped on Strategies to engage in scientific and impactful research project during a two days research seminar held at the university headquarters. The workshop aimed among others to discuss research related issues as well as understand grant requirements in conformance to international research standards.

The workshop was run by the University Centre for Conflict Management with the facilitation of Prof Michael Schulz, from the School of Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg; in Sweden. Participants were trained on how to plan, apply, carry out and disseminate sound research projects.

Prof Schulz who has vast Knowledge in grant and research writing took participants in the seminar through all the stages that make a valid research grant application. He also urged them to conform to criteria set by grant funding agencies and keep in mind that each and every step in research matters.
